About CRP
CRP is HammerWorks’ long-running series of 1.4–1.5 mm PBT, dye-sublimated Cherry-profile keycaps, created to capture the look and sound of vintage Cherry sets. Known for its neutral beige base, sharp legends, and signature deep, thocky tone, CRP has become something of a staple over six previous rounds (R1–R6). Its modular kit system and extensive language support have helped cement its reputation across a wide range of builds and colourways.
For R7, fan favourites like Desko Black, Tulip, and Greek Tulip are making a return, joined by new, more experimental legend styles and accent kits—all staying true to the classic CRP aesthetic. As always, the sets are MX-compatible and Cherry-profile throughout, making them an easy fit for most custom keyboards.
Kits, layouts and compatibility
CRP rounds are built around a modular, “build-your-own” system, with separate alpha, mod, and specialty kits that can cover everything from standard layouts to splits, orthos, and 40s—all from a single run. R7 continues this tradition with broad support for unconventional form factors.
All R7 kits keep the familiar CRP spec: thick PBT, Cherry profile, and MX stems throughout. That consistency makes them easy to drop into new builds or mix and match with caps from earlier rounds.
Look, feel and sound
CRP’s textured PBT has a lightly matte finish that feels dry and grippy, a favourite for long typing sessions. Dye-sublimated legends are crisp, durable, and embedded directly into the plastic.
On the board, CRP delivers a deep, rounded sound that shines with linears and tactiles, evoking a classic terminal feel. Whether kept minimal or dressed up with colourful sublegends, the look stays clean, timeless, and easy to pair with a wide range of builds.
